Let us give you a little background. As you may know - forgive us if we’re going over old ground - The Bible has the Old Testament as its first part and tells of what happened before Jesus was born and has the New Testament as the second part which tells of what happened after Jesus was born. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament talk about the future. The Old Testament was written between about 1200 and 165 years before Christ’s birth – which is known and BC. The New Testament was written during the first century after Christ’s birth – which is known as AD. The Bible talks in terms of around 7000 years. 4000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ which is covered in the Old Testament, then a further 2000 years from the life of Jesus. At this point, The Bible tells us, Jesus will return to call all Christians from Earth to Heaven and safety (often this event is called “The Rapture” – this is what we referred to a little earlier and again more about this later). After this point The Bible tells us that for all those left on Earth, there will be horrendous and horrifying events, all across the world and affecting every single person. These events are likely to be worse than all the wars in history combined and all the natural disasters combined - such events as the Earth will never have witnessed before. We cannot over-emphasise how truly awful these events will be. You would be totally shocked to experience just a small glimpse of these events. Life will be total misery but the duration of these horrific events will be a relatively short time - 7 years. These events will be constant and unrelenting. This time is called the “Tribulation”. After these events have been brought to an end, then Jesus will rule the Earth for 1000 years – which is referred to in The Bible as “The Millenium”.  These periods of 4000 years, plus 2000 years then 1000 years make up this 7000 year period.

Having reflected on the horrific events which The Bible predicts for the world (these events are described in more detail later), you may wish to ensure you miss them by taking steps now. We would suggest this, not only is the wisest course of action, but is imperative. However, for those not having taken this course, there is still hope even after The Rapture. You can turn to Jesus Christ as your Saviour at any time – but we still urge you to do this now. If you are reading this before The Rapture and you have truly, in your heart, asked Jesus Christ to be your Saviour and for him to forgive your sins, then you will be raptured with all true Christian believers and be taken away to safety in Heaven prior to the worst Tribulations. Please note Christians could experience some of the early Tribulations - only God knows the timing of events.

However, if you are reading this after The Rapture, then you will face a number of years of increasing disaster and violence throughout the world. Nevertheless, we repeat, during these years, if you truly turn to Christ, you will also be saved but it will take great courage and supreme strength of character to resist the onslaught of evil and harm which Satan will throw at you as well as your loved ones. At the end of the Tribulation period, God will judge those still alive – as well as those who have died during this period - and pass sentence upon them. Those who have turned to Christ will be saved and live safely with Him for ever. Jesus will then descend from Heaven to rule the world for a 1000 year period. This 1000 years will be a time of peace and glory on Earth, after which point there will be one last challenge from Satan, which will be quickly put-down, followed by a God-driven change creating a new Heaven and Earth combined.

So that we all understand the term “Christian”, we will offer a definition as follows: A Christian is someone who truly and genuinely believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and as their Saviour. It is also important that you believe that God is our Father and creator of the world.

A Christian leads his or her life according to the teachings of The Bible and helps others to do the same. To become a Christian is simple. You do not have to be with any earthly person – although you can if you wish of course. The Bible encourages us all to gather with other Christians and we would encourage you to find a good Church. All you need to do is open your heart to Jesus Christ, asking him to forgive your sins and then asking him to be your Saviour. Then we would encourage you to read The Bible regularly. Guidance and support will come from Heaven.

Further, there is The Trinity which is made up of God who, as mentioned, is the Father of everything and everyone, Jesus Christ the son who was born into the world and died on the Cross for us all to forgive our sins, and The Holy Spirit which is Jesus Christ’s Holy presence on Earth as our helper.

Don’t worry, no Christian is perfect and Christians, being human, fall-down from time-to-time. It is your belief, integrity and determination to continue as a Christian which makes the difference. Christians need to ask Jesus for forgiveness of whatever they have done wrong, (and also to ask again when they go wrong in the future). A Christian must strive each and every day to do better and encourage and help others to do the same.

Jesus is the path to forgiveness and from there the path to Heaven. This is offered to us by the grace of Jesus. That is to say none of us deserves this great favour but it is given to us for our faith in Jesus and our determination to follow him even after we have fallen down and need to pick ourselves up again. The grace of Jesus is never-ending and always present.

N.B. Interesting Fact: Jesus lived more than 2000 years ago yet we are still talking of Him and the life he led, even though His ministry on Earth was only around three years.

More About The Rapture

Earlier we wrote that Jesus will call all Christians to safety. We believe this call maybe near but only God knows the exact date and time – We will write more about this later. What does call mean? In a number of Bibles you will read of a “calling-up” of Christians to the sky. An example of this is book of the Bible 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 16-18, New International Version Bible:

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the Archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”

Jesus will come down from Heaven and be seen in the sky only by true Christians. All non-Christians will not see Jesus nor will they be part of this event; they will remain on Earth. This calling-up event will be instant. Instantly Jesus will call-up all Christians from the Earth to Heaven. This process will be at lightning speed - so fast that literally true Christians will be there on Earth one second and plainly gone the next second. This sudden disappearance of people will be witnessed by non-Christians – people will literally vanish before their eyes. All Christians will then live in Heaven. Please note that it will not be the case that their Spirits will be instantly called to Heaven leaving their bodies behind, as if they had died – no - but all their whole being will be called, Spirit and body, together, leaving no sign behind whatsoever. As mentioned before, this event is often called “The Rapture”, so we will call it The Rapture from now on.

More About The Tribulation & When Might it Happen?

The Bible tells us this is a 7 year period which is split into the first 3½ year period and the second 3½ year period. Towards the end of this 7 year period there will be a time of great suffering, great stress and extremely painful conditions both physical and mental. Suffering will be extreme and acute for all and everyone, without remission. Also your life will be totally controlled; you will not be a free person wherever you live. We will write more about this later.

N.B.: You can still turn to Jesus during this period and He will help you.

Nobody except God knows when Jesus will return (please see Bible book Matthew, chapter 24, verse 36), however we might assume that The Rapture could be at some time in the relatively near future. If we speculate for a moment we can reflect on the fact that Jesus was 33 years old when he was crucified on the cross. So 33 years plus the 2000 years we referred to previously, brings us possibly to the year 2033 as an interesting year. However this is only an interesting year for debate as this might be Jesus’ return for The Rapture of all true Christians or His second return at the end of the 7 year Tribulation period.  Also such rough calculations assume that our dating of the time that Jesus was on Earth is spot-on to the year – this is something about which nobody can be certain. Again I emphasise that nobody knows when The Rapture will take place but it may be sooner than we might think. The world may be wrapped-up in its own smug self-certainty and blind to the distinct possibility of Jesus’ return,  but if we study the Bible, current world events might show a build-up to this future event. Whatever the time, date or year, it’s going to be a huge surprise to non-Christians when millions of people suddenly disappear from the world. Please look at book of the Bible 1 Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 52. Christians will be there one second; the next second gone. There are something like two billion people in the world who identify as Christian. We fear however that many will be cultural Christians rather than true Christians. However within this number there still must be many millions across the world which are true Christians and when many millions of true Christians suddenly, instantly disappear, with no trace left behind, then the rest of the world’s population will notice. Those left behind will be stunned and anxious and confused. This is one of the big reasons we are offering these thoughts, so that those of you who have been left behind, will know what has happened, what to expect next and what to do during the worst of the Tribulation period. Remember you can turn to Jesus for help at any time. we would suggest now.

After The Rapture there's still hope

events in the middle east

If you are not part of The Rapture there is no second chance to be raptured and you will go through the remaining Tribulation period which will be the most difficult time of your life - a time when you will experience horrors you cannot even imagine. The imagination of film-makers has not even begun to portray the terrors ahead for the world.

However, there is hope and you can get through this even though it will seem totally impossible at the time and you will want to give up and give in to evil. Do not give in to evil. We urge you to remember this at all times and remember that at the end of this period you will be free and be able to live a life more wonderful than you can ever imagine at the moment, but only if you don’t give in to evil and Satan.

God will send helpers into the world. He will appoint 144,000 Jewish people and anoint them with His mark on their foreheads. Neither Satan nor his team will be able to touch them. Their purpose will be to help and protect true believers in Jesus – that is to say those still on Earth who turn to Jesus during this period. At this time you should seek Jesus and seek these 144,000 anointed people. Now read on and you will understand why we would not want you to go through the Tribulation period.

Take the opportunity now to ask Jesus to be your Saviour.

After The Rapture things on Earth will start to become exciting. We use the word “exciting” as a euphemism. So what do we mean when we write “things will start to become exciting”? If we follow, in outline form, the events described in The Bible, we can expect at least the following events.

Those left on the Earth will go through a period of great change, darkness, evil and suffering. Remember this 7 year period will be split into two halves. During the first 3½ years, the world will become a darker place with increased violence, war and suffering. This will be so, wherever you are and for whoever you are, both close to home as well as further afield. These events will lay the conditions for the rise of an evil world leader.

These first-half events will be as a result of increased evil through increased activity by Satan. So who is Satan and why is this the time for him to increase his evil activity?

You may have heard Satan referred to as the Devil, Lucifer, the Enemy or the Tempter. The Bible tells us he had been an Angel in Heaven but rebelled against God, so God threw him out of Heaven. From that point Satan has pursued an evil course, tempting as many people as he can to trap them to his ways, rather than the righteous ways of God. By trapping people into his evil ways he can keep them away from God, Jesus and Heaven. Satan knows that at sometime in the future Jesus will return, so this is why Satan will increase the level of his evil activity to ensnare as many people as he can before Satan’s time is up, at which point Jesus will return for the second time at the end of the Tribulation 7 years. Then Jesus will deal with Satan.

During the first 3½ years, Satan will employ many tactics to try to achieve his aim. As mentioned before, The Holy Trinity is God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. God is the Holy Father, Jesus is the Holy Son and Saviour of us all, and The Holy Spirit is Jesus’ Spirit alive and with us on Earth. Cynically Satan will mimic the Holy Trinity by letting forth onto the Earth his own unholy trinity to trick people and to cause untold harm and suffering. This unholy trinity is made up of Satan himself, the Antichrist and the False Prophet.
