Possible Precursors to Events

We mentioned earlier “the mark of the beast”; this will become mandatory during the second 3½ years of the Tribulation. The Bible tells us it will be a mark on the right hand or forehead -  see book of the Bible Revelation, chapter 13; chapters 16-17:

“ It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.” New International Version Bible (NIV).

When the Bible was written, nobody could truly imagine what this mark might be like however as we read these verses in the Bible we can see shadows of Nazi practice in concentration camps where prisoners were tattooed on their arm with a unique number. The Bible talks of a mark on the right hand or forehead – possibly like a tattoo. This is an attempt to explain such a mark to a reader of the Bible back in the 1st Century.

 

When we move to the 21st century with its massive advance in technology, we can envisage an altogether more sophisticated form of marking. The Theologian, Evangelist  and Senior Pastor, Dr. David Jeremiah suggests a microchip implanted under the skin on the hand or forehead. Perhaps this is not an unimaginable concept given that we, as a matter of course, microchip our pets for identification and can put tracker devices around their necks in order to locate them with our phones.

 

How will this manifest itself during the Tribulation times? Nobody knows but perhaps the concept of a microchip - indeed if it were to be a microchip - might be marketed by the Antichrist with a message that could be along these lines: “The modern, convenient method of paying. No more forgetting your PIN or losing your card or phone. Just let us scan you.”. We will be told it is “the modern way”. However please be warned, once you are chipped - or whatever form it turns out to be, tattoo or microchip or something else - you will be marked as aligning yourself with the Antichrist and therefore against God and Jesus. You will have given your soul to Satan.

 

Once marked, all your activity might be tracked and your locations noted as you will be able to be scanned anywhere. Any of your activity considered suspicious by the authorities might be monitored, stored and reported at which point you may then be taken-in to explain yourself.

 

Is there a trend to this already? Perhaps, perhaps not. However, let us offer this thought. In society, we are using less and less cash and more and more electronic transfers of money.  These electronic transfers of money take the form of bank cards, electronic payments on a computer and apps on phones. Let us ask you this question. Which of these processes is completely traceable? Cash or electronic transfers? Can cash tell the authorities what you have bought, where you bought it, when you bought it and how much you spent? We think not but electronic transactions currently give all this information so therefore we need only a small step in technology to achieve a totally trackable scenario and therefore complete control of your spending or selling.

 

Further, if we have cash in society, we can spend it almost anywhere, when we want, on what we want and how much we want. Cash cannot be “switched off”. However, if all monetary transactions were to become fully electronic, then we are at the behest of banks or authorities, which if they think us undesirable, can at the press of a button on a computer, switch-off our bank account. Does this sound familiar? It should do as it has already happened to a number of well-known personalities.

 

Is this move towards electronic transfer a build-up to end times or merely coincidence?
