Possible Outline Events
During the Tribulation

During the first 3½ years, things will become dark. Society will fall apart and decency will completely disappear. Violence will be commonplace everywhere, locally, nationally and internationally, with countries going to war and international disputes becoming routine. You may think that we are familiar with such events, but during this period such happenings will be constant and everywhere and normal. People will think, “What is happening to the world? When will it all end?” There will be unease throughout the world and fear will grow. This may already sound familiar. Conditions will start to unfold whereby people will start to think, “We need a strong leader who will sort out all the problems and stop the violence and wars.” At this point Satan’s seed is sown in the minds of people across the world.

Then during the Tribulation period a phenomenon will take place that no-one in the world will miss. We write especially about this event as, in our opinion, this is one of the events which cannot be misconstrued as anything but the work of God. We would suggest that you dismiss this event at your peril.

Blurred Refraction

This phenomenon will take place in Jerusalem and will be what Bible calls “The Two Witnesses”. Please see book of The Bible Revelation, chapter 11, verses 3-12. Two men will appear in the city as prophets – or teachers of the will of God – to tell the people of the world about their wrong-doing and wicked ways. As the Bible book of Revelation tells us, these two men will be seen by everyone, throughout the world. How? Simply via the internet and social media and television. The fact that this phenomenon is to be seen throughout the world by everyone, and this fact was foretold in the Bible which was written far beyond a time when the writer could possibly have foreseen such technology, is remarkably important and pertinent.

The Two Witnesses will be forthright, yet the more the Two Witnesses tell the people of the world about their wrong-doing, the more unpopular the Two Witnesses will become. Many attempts to kill the Two will be made but God will protect them until nearly 3½ years later (the Bible tells us 1260 days) when the Two have told the world what it needs to hear, the Two will then be murdered. Great relief will be felt by the wicked of the world at finally ridding themselves of these two Prophets. The wicked will be so relieved that great celebrations and parties will be given when people will exchange presents with each other. The bodies of the Two will lie in the streets of Jerusalem for 3½ days whilst this revelry continues. These celebratory events will also be broadcast around the world. However, at the end of the 3½ days God will give life back into the bodies of the Two Witnesses who will rise up, to the very great fear and disbelief of the people. At this point God will take the Two up into Heaven (they will be raptured). No-one could surely ignore this event for what it is: the work of God.

From this point the troubles of the world become greater and greater. The stress and fear of the world’s people will grow to a point never seen in the world throughout its long history of stress and fear.

There will be great famine, pollution, need, want, ill-health and death all across the world. Not just in countries remote from us, but in your own country too. Food will become so scarce and food inflation so high, that the people of the world will have to work a whole day just for a loaf of bread (See book of the Bible Revelation, chapter 6, verse 6.) People will feel increasingly insecure, vulnerable, poor and totally controlled by Government. As mentioned before, part of this control of everyone will be a system whereby each and every human will be required to be marked (referred to in The Bible as “the mark of the beast”, more later). Those who refuse to take this mark, will be locked-out of the economy, not being allowed to buy anything including food, be paid wages, be able to pay rent or a mortgage, so they will be homeless, hungry and thirsty, living in rags - destitute. Yet those not accepting the mark, although suffering greatly for this short period, will be saved by Jesus and live in Heaven for eternity. During this period something like half of the world’s population will die from war, violence, famine, disease, illness and pollution or be killed for not taking the mark of the beast. The world will be deluged with evil and sin which gets worse and worse by the moment. This last phase of the Tribulation will be marked by God’s retribution upon the wicked.

You may say to yourself, “I’m not wicked, I don’t do anything wrong.” Well, if we are absolutely honest with ourselves, we all do things which are wrong from time to time and yes of course some people are much worse than others. Jesus loves absolutely everyone as they are, but just as loving parents wish that their children would take their guidance and learn the right way to be and live, so God wishes us to take his guidance and learn the right way to be and live.

As mentioned, for those having been left behind during these Tribulation times, there is still hope and that hope is found in turning to Jesus Christ. You must be honest with yourself. You must ask Jesus for forgiveness and guidance and you must try to do better. At all costs avoid taking the mark of the beast as it is better to suffer for a short period than be locked out of Heaven for ever. Above all we must accept Jesus as our Saviour.

As a summary of events as described in The Bible, let’s look at events in a possible chronological order:

  1. God appoints the 144,000 Jewish people to help those left on Earth, marking their foreheads as a countermeasure against the mark of the beast. At this point they will not be able to be touched by evil.

  2. The Antichrist will appear on the world scene as a charismatic and go-ahead leader. Firstly he will be a small-player but his influence will grow and grow until he is the dominant figure in world politics.

  3. As the world becomes more and more violent and wars are more frequent and widespread, the Antichrist will forge a world peace which will include the protection of Israel. The protection of Israel and peace with her neighbours will be lauded as a great success. The Antichrist will be praised as a great leader and successful person. The world will be grateful and sigh a great sigh of relief. The Antichrist will be congratulated having achieved something that nobody else could achieve.

  4. As part of the peace treaty, Israel will be able to rebuild her great Temple in Jerusalem as King Solomon’s Temple was destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon about 586BC.

  5. It is during this time that the people of the world will think things have improved and appear to be going well, despite the falling values and standards of people, communities and nations - which are all becoming much worse. Might this gradual decay in attitudes across the world seem familiar, even now?

  6. As this first 3½ years roll on, world conditions really do start to deteriorate especially in the areas of violence, breakdown of society, behaviour of people towards each other, selfishness and increasing number of wars between countries.

  7. Two Witnesses appear in Jerusalem who are subsequently killed and taken to Heaven. This is all witnessed by everyone around the world probably by the use of social media.

  8. An Earthquake will destroy 10% of Jerusalem and 7000 people will be killed.

  9. As wars, violence and famine become increasingly worse, the Antichrist will move to justify his actions and take the opportunity to establish a world government by ousting any or all opponents which get in his way. Satan will stage a spectacle whereby the Antichrist is assassinated, yet Satan brings him back to life – cynically mimicking the death of Jesus and His resurrection. In great fear of such powers, countries allied to the Antichrist will relinquish power to him. Therefore political power will become totally concentrated in the hands of the Antichrist.

  10. The Antichrist will break his peace treaty with Israel. There will be a vast and mighty attack upon Jerusalem by huge armies, (see Bible book Ezekiel, chapters 38 & 39), probably under the command of a great country from the north of Israel. There has been much speculation as to where these armies will come from. Many have suggested Russia – probably due to geographical location, but also this could include parts of Asia, the Middle-East, North Africa and Europe. (As we write this we have only to switch on the television news or go onto the internet or click onto our social media feed to see the war against Israel. These attacks are precursor events – much worse will happen.)

  11. This subsequent Tribulation period attempt to attack Jerusalem will be repelled by God’s will.

  12. The Antichrist will then set himself up in the new Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.

  13. The Antichrist will then build an image of himself and force all people to worship him. It is from this point, about halfway along in the Tribulation times, that the Antichrist turns from charismatic leader to vile, cruel dictator. The world will now see the Antichrist’s true nature and intentions; his megalomania will be revealed.

  14. The Antichrist will be supported by the False Prophet. He will endeavour to force everyone to have a mark upon themselves or in their body which will identify them as followers and worshippers of the Antichrist.

  15. The Antichrist will then try to kill all Jewish people.

  16. The Antichrist will try to kill everyone refusing the mark.

  17. The Antichrist will now have worldwide control not only politically but also economically as those not accepting the mark will be cut-out of the economy and not be able to buy or sell anything. Those people will not be able to get paid, pay the rent or mortgage, buy food, fuel, lighting, heating – nothing. Nor will they be able to sell anything in order to raise any money.

  18. Mass, worldwide environmental catastrophes will follow – water pollution, soil pollution, air pollution and vegetation dying.

  19. Armageddon will follow – or strictly the Battle of Armageddon which will be the biggest war ever played-out on Earth. It will again take place in Israel. Jesus will defeat the Antichrist and the False Prophet along with the armies fighting alongside these two.

  20. Once defeated, God will capture the Antichrist and False Prophet and their demise is actioned. Satan will be imprisoned for 1000 years.

  21. Then calm and order will be imposed by God when Jesus returns at the Second Coming. Jesus will judge the remaining people of the world; both good and bad. Those who have not taken the mark of the beast will spend eternity in Heaven.

  22. Jesus will rule the Earth for 1000 years with love, kindness and care.

  23. After this 1000 years Satan will be released for a short time when he will trick people once again and they will rise-up against God. God will quickly defeat him and his followers. See book of the Bible Revelation, chapter 20, verses 7-10. Satan will then be dealt with by Jesus, never to be seen again.

  24. God will combine Heaven and Earth creating a new world.

This then only leaves the fabulous event of The Rapture. This could be the very first major event of this series of events or it may happen at any time during the 7 year period - perhaps somewhere at the point when the Two Witnesses appear in Jerusalem. If this were to be the case, then true Christians will witness the build-up of the Antichrist.

Only God knows the timing of The Rapture - only God knows the time he will call-up to Heaven all true Christians. It could be at any time during the seven year Tribulation period.
